Scratchy transfers are ONLY used on Chalk painted projects
 
 
Make sure that your project has been sanded with a 100grit sand paper after you have painted it with the desired chalk paint of your choice.
 Make sure your paint is even otherwise your dry transfer will not adhere to it properly
 Not do apply a wax or a sealer before you apply your dry transfer to your project
 Wipe your project with a damp cloth before you start to get rid of any dust that may be on your project
 
Let' s Start:
Place your dry transfer with the printed side down on your project
Secure your transfer with masking tape, but leave one side open to check every now and again
Either use the back of a teaspoon handle or a pencil and begin scratching your dry transfer. You will notice if you lift it up on one side that the ink will then adhere to your painted project. You need to push relatively hard to get the ink off. If you lift your transfer to check & think has not come off, do not panic carry on scratching.
Don't be in a HURRY, enjoy the relaxing time
When you are done scratching your transfer you will see that the transfer gives you a hand painted effect.
Leave your transfer overnight on your project to give the ink time to adhere.
