Waterslide transfers are perfect for any project and can be used on smooth painted or unpainted surfaces such as furniture, walls, doors, mirrors and on most of your craft projects. How to use the Waterslide Transfers: Ensure that the object you want to place your transfer onto, is smooth and free from any dust, dirt or oil. We suggest to seal any chalk-painted surfaces with a clear sealer first, prior to putting your transfer on the object.Cut your design on the outlines of the image leaving about 3mm around the edge. Fill a bowl with room-temperature  water, and submerge your design face (print) up in the water. The edges of the paper will curl up and after about 20-30 seconds the transfer will start to flatten in the water. Remove your design from the water bowl and apply directly to your project face up prior to removing any water.Position the transfer on your project and carefully start to slide the backing paper out underneath the clear film image while holding the clear film softly in place with your fingers.Gently remove any creases or bubbles that might have occurred with a soft cloth taking care not to stretch or tear your transfer. Use a paper towel to gently blot off any remaining water.Leave to dry for approximately 1 hour before applying a clear sealer or spray lacquer over the transfer to protect and seal the design. Please note: When applying a transfer to ceramics, after the initial drying period the item needs to be baked in an oven at 110 degrees Celsius for 10-15 minutes. Note: Ceramic transfers are not dishwasher safe and should be cleaned by a gentle hand wash.
